It is an autochthonous oleaginous plant of the Peruvian Amazon, known to the world as the “peanut of Inca”, due to its enormous importance during the empire. Its seeds are an important source of omega 3, 6 and 9, and it contains a better balance of polyunsaturated fatty acids / saturated fatty acids than fish.
